Red & Blue

The work begins at the end—
These alternating red and blue notebooks, created over the course of a year, are simulations, filled with traces of an imagined life immersed in creative flow: rapid sketches, notes, and unrealized projects. Unlike typical artist notebooks, which hold seeds of future ideas, these are complete, anticipating their own final state.

The notebooks have appeared as a bank of animated material, driven by random number generators through Isadora software. Here, they take the form of a modular animated GIF, where elements load at different speeds, causing images within the animation to connect and shift into new alignments.

This animation exists in a virtual, non-chronological field—immediately accessible, presenting itself as a mass of shifting states. It is a space of endless self-organization, where moments continually rearrange themselves into different configurations, with the beginning and the end held in flickering suspension.
